A closed period, priced shift by shift from Connecteam the way the forecast prices it, set beside what payroll paid — and the WorkMarket file written from it once nothing blocks it.
How this relates to Payroll
Payroll (under In development) is where pay will live when it is finished. This page uses Payroll's rate cards and writes the same WorkMarket file, but fills the quantities in from the schedule instead of by hand, so the two can be checked against each other. It is still being tested: until Shawna or Steele say it is ready, the payroll team's current process is what pays people.
A standard on the facility card (the reference sheet) says something other than the rate this run has been pricing from. Until it has a date, the old standard keeps pricing. Give it the date it takes effect: everyone at the standard moves on that day — the old line ends the day before, the new one starts on the date, on their card — and anyone with a rate of their own is left as they are unless ticked. Setting the date writes the new lines to Payroll's rate cards; you confirm first.
Before the file can be written
Each of these is a record that has to be fixed where it lives — a rate in Payroll, a payee id, a shift with no rate. Nothing here is guessed around. ✎ edit on the person's row opens the fix.
Worth a look before paying
The run
Paid by payroll, not on the schedule
People and items in the payroll run for the same period that no shift explains — a stipend typed by hand, callback hours, mileage, someone whose shifts were never in Connecteam.
Agency (premium labor) — billed by the agency, not in this file
Locums on the schedule over these dates, priced at the agency rate for the forecast. They are paid by invoice, never through WorkMarket.
How this run is built
Every published shift on every Connecteam schedule linked to this rate card, over the dates chosen, read together — so a card shared by several schedules (Park View, POC and PPW) pays each person once.
Priced as the forecast prices it. The person's own line on the Payroll rate card first (hourly × the longer of the shift and its guarantee, a per-shift amount, the matching call line); then a rate set for them on the Labor Forecast; then the facility card's standard for the role — and a line priced from the standard says so.
Salaried clinicians get their monthly lines (base pay and stipends) once per month covered; their shifts and their call are in the salary unless the card carries a call line.
Call is a stipend per shift, never hours. Callback is not on the schedule: add it as a line by hand from the person's own callback item, until it reaches the run from a Connecteam form or the Time Clock.
Blocked means the file cannot be written: a person with no WorkMarket payee id (not on the card, or no id on the card), a shift nothing could price, a per-shift line that can only be an hourly figure. Fix the record, build again.
Beside each person: what the payroll run for the same period paid them, by item, when one is loaded on Pay Runs. The difference is the list of what the schedule does not know yet.
The file is the WorkMarket upload in its exact fifteen columns — one line per person per item and rate, dated the last day of the period, named "WM - Facility MM.DD.YY Pay.xlsx" — written through the same code the Pay Runs page uses. Writing it records the run as exported, and the record is read back to be sure; a correction afterwards is an adjustment line in the next run.
What this page writes. Read-only against Connecteam and Monday — nothing is written to either. Payroll is different: the fixes on this page (linking a name, adding someone to the card, a payee id, a line, a rename, a changed or retired line, the Memo, the facility's PRN and callback rules), a rate change set on the facility card, and loading Payroll's file all write to Payroll's rate cards or pay runs, and each one asks before it does. Saving or writing the run records it in the pay-run log; full-time or PRN, and “they're a locum”, are kept with the Labor Forecast's people. Pay beside a name is shown only to admins and owners of MOR or Payroll.
